How Distributed Messaging Teams Can Use Slack to Move

    in Education Forum

How to stay on top of your email tasks without the ability to collaborate in person? Luckily, there's a whole set of tools that can help your messaging team feel connected and get things done when you can't meet face-to-face. Slack is probably one of the most popular tools for powering remote teams. At litmus, we also rely heavily on slack. That's why we wanted to share our top 5 tips and tricks from our fully remote messaging team and the community on how your messaging team can use the power of slack to launch campaigns faster, stay in sync with the rest of your team, and feel less alone when you can't be together in person.

Create a dedicated slack channel for all things email having a dedicated channel for your messaging team and other marketing team members to discuss upcoming campaigns, due dates, and questions is a simple yet effective way to create a virtual space for all things relates to e-mails. At litmus, we use our #email-team slack channel as our go-to place for everyone to ask and discuss email-related questions: what time is today's campaign again? Why do we think this newsletter did so much better than last month's version? Are we ready to launch the next big campaign? Having a dedicated place to consolidate all things email can help both your email team and team members

Outside of email marketing feel connected, especially when working remotely. Ou channel is also where the litmus team can collectively share and marvel at the campaigns we've spotted in our inbox and love. Your messaging team channel doesn't have to focus only on project work. 2. Take advantage of the power of slack integrations with your messaging tools on average, a marketing team uses at least a dozen tools to run a successful program (some use over 30 tools!), and 27% of teams said a lack of integration between their marketing technology stack is a major obstacle to achieving business goals.
